Carving #8

-The guardian of the Sea-
"This piece was also inspired by Rapanui unique writing system known as Rongorongo. According to the Jaussen list, the simbol this tiki has on his chest, is how they used to write the word fish. Different shapes of fish and if they where facing up or down meant different things, but the truth is we can't be sure what the tablets really mean. My idea was to represent someone protecting the sea, looking a lot more as part of what he is protecting, representing also that we are as much protectors, as part of our planet"
