"The meaning
I found in this series
is that their strong lines
and rough appearence
represent the hardness
in life, thier motifs hope
and the hollowness
of the bamboo
the right attitude,
allowing life to pass thru
without much resistance.
These three concepts
are all life is about to me"

The series of carvings
- Bamboo -
Have been made
using only
these hand tools

The different wood tones
were achieved burning
the bamboo with a
Tiki Tormento candle,
more for the dark tones
or just a touch for
the warm ones,
no stain has been used.
Only a final clear coat
to finish and protect
the pieces.
